Grandma Rosie's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today,an amazing feat was accomplished; I helped my children make homemade chocolate chip cookies. This is so crazy,I have never done anything like it. From scratch!! My grandmother would be so proud if she were here.

The girls were so excited;the look on their faces was worth all the clean up.The cookies were delicious, and we shared with neighbors on both sides. After 33 and a half years, something truly domestic is stirring inside me.I have to give glory to God because I was never taught much about cooking, being frugal, clipping coupons, sewing rips in clothing--- you name it.

My next goal is to cook for 1 week in one day.Since we do not have a stand alone freezer yet, that will have to do for now.

I have to share this wonderful recipe with you all.I have to tell you,I was a little paranoid about it because my four daughters think that onions and peppers or anything green is disgusting. But before my eyes they each gulped it down and it ended up not being enough. My 3 year old wouldn't try it(I choose to think it was because of the cookie dough she consumed at baking time.So here goes...

Speedy Salsa-Chicken Quesadillas

1/2 cup salsa

2 tbsp. ranch dressing

1/2 tsp. chili powder

flour tortillas(2 large or 4 small)

3 cooked small boneless chicken breast halves, sliced

1 pack of taco seasoning

1 cup mexican cheese,shredded

Prepare chicken and taco seaoning as directed on seasoning packet.Set aside.

Combine salsa, dressing, and chili powder; spread evenly onto bottom halves of tortillas.Top with chicken

cheese.Fold tortillas in half to enclose filling.

Cook in skillet spayed with cooking spray on medium heat 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until both sides are

golden brown and cheese is melted.Cut each quesadilla into three wedges and serve with a dollop of sour cream.

A special thank you to Mrs. L. What a sweet lady to come along and encourage me. Come back anytime!
